Third Sector Funding
The Scottish Government has recently announced funding support to the Third Sector over the next three years.

This £30m fund is managed by Social Investment Scotland (SIS) on behalf of the Government and opened for applications on 1st September 2008. This fund will help established Third Sector organisations to "secure a transformational step change in their capacity, capability and financial sustainability".
Third Sector Enterprise Fund is managed and delivered by the Scottish Government's Third Sector Division and opened in January 2009. This fund will support orgnisations that want to build their capacity to operate in an enterprising way. Applicants to this fund will be supported at an earlier stage of enterprise development than applicants to the Scottish Investment Fund. The Government wioll offer funding of between £25,000 to £100,000 to third sector organisations based on the assessment of a full application explaining clearly the rationale for the proposal and the expected outcomes. (Applications for funding in excess of £70,000 will need to be supported by a business plan).
Social Entrepreneurs Fund is to be manged by Firstpost and was launched in November 2008. This fund is aimed at individuals who want to set up and run a business with a social or environmental purpose. The fund will provide financial and businesss support to help get new enterprises off the groun. It opened for applications of 2nd March 2009 and will run for two years.
Highland 2007 Legacy Programme
Launched by The Highland Council this programme provides an annual fund of £500k in grants to build upon the success of Highland 2007 - aiming to enhance and promote the events, festivals and cultural programme of the Highlands. One of its priorities is environmental and will also support the refurbishment of community facilities, with grants available of up to £30,000. Infrastructure Grant Programme and Low Carbon Vehicle Procurement Programme
This is a UK Government initiative managed by Cenex the on behalf of Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) (formerly DTI). The infrastructure grant provides 40% of the eligible costs of an electric recharging station.

Environmental Programme
The Peter De Haan Environmental Programme is currently funding projects that conserve energy and lead to a permanent reduction in UK energy demand; or that involve micro or small scale renewable energy production.
Standard Life Charitable Trust (UK)
Standard Life has announced the proposal to establish the Standard Life Charitable Trust in 2009. The initial investment of around £5 million will come from the company's unclaimed assets trust, while the remainder will come from funds left over after a change to shareholder cash dividend payments. The Trust will be used to enable Standard Life to continue its approach to corporate responsibility and to support their community investment programmes.
Stations Community Regeneration Fund (SCRF)
Scotrail are suuporting communities to take over old railway stations having set up a fund of £1m. A short list of potential stations for regeneration appears on their website.
