Some delegates to Scotland’s Community Energy Conference will have an opportunity to visit Scottish and Southern Energy’s Perth headquarters and see at first-hand how the grid and generation is managed by SSE.

Mo Cloonan, Head of Development at Community Energy Scotland said ‘I am so pleased that Scottish and Southern has agreed that two small groups of delegates can visit the HQ.  It is easier to appreciate the issues around generation, constraint, distribution and transmission after you have been to the Inveralmond site.’  Mo added ‘Numbers are very strictly limited and delegates who wish to take up this option should reserve their place now.’

The visit will take place on Wednesday 7th November from 1500hrs. (The second day of the conference.)  Delegates wishing to attend must bring photo ID.  Transport will be provided from the conference venue to Inveralmond and back. Places are allocated to delegates who are registered, on a first come first served basis. There is no additional charge for this.  Community Energy Scotland is very grateful to SSE for agreeing to  this special opportunity for delegates.

Once you have booked a place at the conference and want to reserve a space on the special visit to SSE, please e-mail Julia Gutierrez – Julia.gutierrez@communityenergyscotland.org.uk  Julia will advise you if there is a space or not.  All places are reserved for named individuals.
