Developing Local Energy Economies
We help community energy projects connect with cutting edge innovations.
Communities can maximise the benefits of renewable energy generation through local use of heat or power that avoids buying in energy.
If you are interested in developing a project but cannot connect to the National Grid or want to find ways to use energy locally (eg. in heating or transport), we can help.
Through our subsidiary Community Energy Scotland Trading we provide commercial consultancy services and develop joint ventures with other charitable and private partners.
CES Trading developed and operates a micro wind turbine portfolio in the Western Isles.
A 9MW wind farm joint venture is under construction in the Scottish Borders.
Are you interested in developing a renewable energy project to benefit your community but don’t know where to start?
Are you struggling to find the time to move a project forward?
We can offer a unified project management service to community groups and members.
