First Aberdeenshire Community Wind and Hydro Group Meeting

A sunny evening in June was the setting for the first Aberdeenshire Community Wind and Hydro group held by Aberdeenshire Council and Community Energy Scotland. Around 20 community group members from the surrounding areas attended the meeting which took place in Udny and included an exciting visit to the community turbine. 

Later the groups heard from Melanie MacRae of Community Energy Scotland on the services, training and support offered to community groups and from Matt Kate of the Undy Community Turbine Company. Matt talked about their journey over the last five years and gave some very helpful tips to other community groups in the audience looking to undertake similar projects.
